“I chose gastroenterology because of the fascinating science and the chance to prevent cancer. I was attracted to a varied practice with time spent in the office, in the endoscopy center and in the hospital, plus the long- and short-term relationships with patients.
“I really enjoy working one-on-one with patients to solve problems, preventing cancer with screening colonoscopy and seeing results, both procedurally and in the clinic. I am understanding, straightforward, detailed and thorough. I like to empower my patients to manage their own conditions by helping them understand their physiology, what can go wrong when they have certain diseases and their treatment options.

Personal, attentive, interactive, respectful, and helpful!
This Dr is the best GI Dr I’ve ever seen. Patient, knowledgeable, efficient, extremely considerate of his patients. He helps his patients with no ego involved. I really cannot say enough because he’s good at everything. The worst I can say about Dr Maxwell is that he is so good that he’s very busy. It can be a wait to get in but even then if it’s serious they will make arrangements to take care of you.
Well, besides saving my life along with his staff and nurses, Dr. Maxwell is very concerned with your well being, and takes the time to answer all of your questions and researches ones he’s not positive about on the spot. Very knowledgeable, kind, and never talks down to you. Excellent with older patients. I can’t say enough good about my care there, and for years. Thank you.

This was my first procedure with Dr Maxwell. I found him to be very professional and thorough. He takes the time to explain in detail all aspects of the what's, where's, why's and when's so I knew exactly what to expect and I understood any concerns which put me at ease.

Dr. Chris Maxwell and his team have always taken SUCH good care of me!!! I just had my second colonoscopy as a 26 year old so I was understandably slightly nervous but the team did such a lovely job of putting me right at ease. Dr. Maxwell interacts in the way I would hope every doctor did!!! He listens so sincerely, takes such good notes to refresh himself about you before your appointment, doesn’t ever feel rushed, looks at you and the situation holistically, and is kind and sincere. I’ve been abundantly grateful to have Dr. Maxwell on my health team!!!

Wait was not too long, Doctor is quick to come in, very knowledgeable. No one wants to deal with digestive issues. Dr Maxwell is sensitive to that, and yet very forthright

Dr. Maxwell took his time with me and explained everything he was doing and what to expect. I really appreciated not having the feeling he was in a hurry, needing to get to the next patient right away. So far the banding procedure seems to be doing what it was supposed to do. Good experience. Very competent.

My favorite doctor ever. I cannot recommend highly enough. I’m a little disappointed he can’t be my GP, but glad he’s such an expert in his speciality.
